I don't know if you have any in your LOW game yet, but I have yet to see anyone mention anything about the Von Erichs! Will they be showing up in LOW soon? Stick them in there, along with Goldberg and George "The Animal" Steel, and I'll convert to LOW quicker than snot! (just how quick IS snot anyways?)

snot is about as quick as Goldberg is a legend. Which is not at all.
not that every guy in LOW is a legend...just saying.

I think I recall Tom may have checked with Kevin about it but no idea what the story there is.

In LOW bootlegs, they have the Von Erichs and Freebirds. Plus, check out Mark T's Unofficial bootleg site. It has Steele on it.

I'm not sure you can get Kevin to sign for any of the other members of his family, since I think he's out of the business after the deaths of his brothers and his father. I'm not even sure if he's still alive.

I'm pretty sure Kevin is still alive and it would be very cool to see the Von Erich Dynasty come to life in Legends of Wrestling. This family is truly legends material.

Oh Kevin is very much alive. He's selling World Class tapes, and I've heard he's done some negotiatons with VKM.
I read somewhere that Tom has had a conversation with him. But, since he (and his mother) are their only living relatives (besides Kerry's daughter), I'm sure Kevin could sign for them.

Are you sure Kevin's mom's alive? I thought she passed away about a year before Fritz, unless Fritz fathered children with more than one woman (which I don't think's the case.)

If Tom did sign the Von Erichs he could fill an entire set. Or pretty close to it.

It almost shocks me how a Von Erich hasn't been included in a LOW set yet. Didn't they set the standard for wrestling families? In no way am I saying Tom's ignorant for the lack of Von Erichs, it just sort of surprised me.

It's not quite that easy. We don't just sit back and say..."Hey, let's do cards for some VonErichs." For legal reasons we need to try to contact the wrestler or wrestler's family. I'm not sure if Tom has spoken with Kevin, but the VonErichs haven't been brought up in any recent Legends discussions.

Never said it was easy, just said I was surprised.

Would it be a good assumption that it is easiest if the wrestlers are ones that Tom has met at conventions like Wrestlereunion? That way there are alot more wrestlers in one place and Tom doesn't have to play phone tag with someone. It seems like it might be hard to get in contact with members of Hackenschmidt's family or Londos or someone like that.

Gotta agree with that. Cons would be a great way to network the desire to add to a LOW set, if only because simple word of mouth would help out.

If Tom is interested in contacting Kevin, he has an official web site set up for the entire Von Erich family, where he can send him an e-mail and ask him about allowing him to do official cards for the Von Erichs. The web address is www.vonerich.com.

I thought I heard a couple of years ago that Kevin had made a shoot interview/retrospective of the Von Erich family on DVD. I believe either ROHwrestling.com or rfvideo.com was selling it and it was supposed to be really good.

So if I got this right, there was Kevin (aka Texas Tornado), Kerry, Fritz...dang, who were the others?
