What's Strutter's clown doing for you guys? I mean, he sucks. He has a 1-3 record... and seems to never ever EVER get the best of Swarm. Is he a winner for y'all- or a bust?? Tricks is an EXCELLENT concept (evil clown)... but how do y'all use him? Lemme know. OH- where's Osk's butt? I don't see it on th message board nowadays....KISS KISS BANG BANG OSKIE BABES

Tricks does kind of suck, but that's cool because he's a great character and he's a fun mid-carder guy to use...
Swarm beat his a** in every match...it was never close...
right now I have him in a feud with Nosfera and it's crazy...
I like him. Not every guy can be statistically great...but I could see him getting a little better with an upgrade and a killer Daryl Banks drawing.

Not sure on this one, but what is Stevie's affection with Osk's butt? Is it some inside joke, or some strange hetero mumbo jumbo? And Swarm owns Tricks.

Tricks the Clown is one of my least favorite GWF guys Tom has ever made.
Tom missed with this one, no ifs, ands or buts about it.
Mad Jester > Tricks the Clown.

Tricks sucks as a singles guy. But when I team him up with one of the other Vin Strutter stable guys he does okay for himself. Not great. But okay.
Love the artwork for him. And actually, in my Fed he's much more of a borderline psychopath than a funny man (like Jester was). Tricks is the kind of guy who is playing around with you one second, and trying to yank your eyeballs out the next. Definitely scary.
So I'm enjoying him for now. The gimmick could get old real quick though.

He's been a lower mid-carder for me. Although at the beginning of 2121 he was on a hot streak, winning most of his matches including one against Swarm. Then he cooled back down. I find he's one of the cards I use the most, surprisingly.

Tricks owns Swarm in my fed. Other than that, he's about 50/50 but he's very entertaining to me.

I haven't figured out the Tricks character yet. I tried an angle where he found an old T.V. title belt, painted it all kinds of bright colors, and called himself the "Children's Champion". He billed himself as a Champion that kids everywhere could look up to. Of course, he was the exact opposite, cheating whenever he could to win matches. The angle died when I couldn't come up with a wrestler to challenge Tricks for his "title". The other wrestlers just kind of ignored his "Championship." I am just now staring an angle where Plethador is going to ringside for all of Tricks matches because he has developed a crush on Rotunda. I am trying to inject some comedy into my fed, and a Tricks/Plethador/Rotunda love triangle should do it

They are almost always together, he even comes to the ring in a little clown car pulling her in a wagon behind him. The two are very much in love and it kind of creeps out everyone else on the roster. And she really doesn't care that he doesn't win that much. Big Time

Big Time I like this storyline...I'm running one now where Tricks is feuding with Nosfera and Rotunda is caught in the middle...she is developing a strange crush on Nosfera and he keeps making her cry when he leaps away from her fat grasp...I'm not sure where this is going but so far it's been fun...

Tricks the Clown is one of my least favorite GWF guys Tom has ever made. Tom missed with this one, no ifs, ands or buts about it. Mad Jester > Tricks the Clown. Tricks will NEVER be a Hvywt. Title contender. He's one of the weaker guys as far as stats are concerned. That's the point. He is a lower mid-card guy. Not every guy should be able to win a single's title. He is a way better tag wrestler. In 2120, he and Steele Freak had a stranglehold on the Tag belts for a long time. I like characters like Tricks because there are really no rules. They are maniacal and unpredictable. I liken him to Doink the Clown when he was evil and feuded with Crush - circa WrestleMania IX.

He really pretty good for me. Not sure why. He doesn't seem to just get lucky. He hasn't won a belt yet, but he's had a few shots at the Interstellar Title, the only secondary title I have. He's been consistently above .500. Against tough competition he does seem to crumble, though. But he's my 4 year old's second favorite character, behind American Guy for some reason.

His tag team with Steele Freak got quite a few upsets for me. I don't have his record in front of me but it's probably a few wins under .500 to as high as a couple of wins over .500.
He's a good gatekeeper kind of character for someone to go through to get to the Amazing Mann. He at the worst puts up a decent fight.

What I was saying Is I don't like the character. Plain and simple. Mad Jester was done better.

Tricks was never supposed to be another Mad Jester, so I don't get your "done better" theory at all. Better at what?
There are tons of characters better than Tricks, why are you using Jester as a "done better" argument? I don't get it.
I don't see how Tom missed the boat on him...he's a very interesting character with a cool move set and one of the best mid-lower card heels in the game.
I think he has potential to be one of the best characters in the game for a long time.

I think the Jester and Tricks are different kinds of characters, really, even though superficially they might look the same. Jester was portrayed as more out of his mind (whether he actually was or not, we could debate, but let's not!), while Tricks seems like he's written to know exactly what he's doing and is in charge of his faculties. So I never really compared the two. I like them both for different reasons.
I think DMK just probably means he likes Jester better than Tricks, not so much that Jester is a better version of Tricks, or Tricks is a worse version than Jester. Is that fair to say?
