Funny how the P12 fighter was arguably the best wrestler iin the GWF's history. I agree, Turk. Thunder is definitely the most improved wrestler of all time (sorry Ursa!)

WHAT THE HECK ABOUT OVERKILL!!! Overkill is in my eye the most beastly of all the gladiators, yet he is a lonely tag wrestler ... in the words of the hurricane WHATS UP WIT DAT

I have often wondered what would happen if Overkill had been given some sort of singles update. And, also, what would have happened if another duo from the same years as him had been made into a tag team(like Thunder and Malice ). I can honestly say that there has never been another group of wrestlers that I have liked as much as the Gladiators.

Great post, Pete! I agree you with totally about Mayhem. I can't believe how so many dislike him. He WAS hardcore.
How do I go about getting Death Knight II? I've heard he's rad. Email me if you wanna - deathcabfan1@yahoo.com

I liked Mayhem. He was my favorite for a while. I liked his risky style.
I just got frustrated with him when he could not win any belts.
Cool name too.
Overkill was a monster, one I would have liked to see stay around. I thought he was a good, solid tag wrestler. I do not think every wrestler needs to be given a singles update. I think that some wrestlers should stay in tag teams. I know that this is not the trend nowadays, but TV wrestling nowadays is pretty bad,.
I liken Overkill to the Road Warriors or Arn Anderson- consumate tag team wrestlers.

While Spike, Disaster and Thunder have been more decorated in my fed, without a doubt, the best "Aethran War Machine" ever was Brute. Brute is the original "Aethran War Machine". Even at his old age, he still manages to Decapitate a few wresters a month.

When he got updated with only 1 Level 3 move on Level 2 Offensive, matches with him just took WAY too long. His booking dropped in favor of the other Gladiators and even in tag matches, I often had his partners involved in the match quite a lot more. It's kinda dramatic looking at the stats from the original Brute to the updated Brute. The original Brute had average (or slightly less than average?) defense, while the updated card has one of the best defenses in the history of the game.

That is the one thing you can expect: there will never be an official Gladiator that just plain sucks!

What I wanna know is: considering the behaviours Aethrans consider acceptable, what the heck did Vengence do to land himself in jail?

Now, I just have to speak up in favor of the most underrated Gladiator of all: Malice. He didn't just win some matches here or there or have a good run, he dominated throughout his whole career. He used to frighten the hell out of the whole league as multi-time GWF Heavyweight/Heavy Metal double-champion. He always defended both titles at once, and forced many top contenders to step into hardcore matches that they were NOT comfortable with. When he retired, he held the record for most wins of all time(since I began keeping W-L records at least) and had the best W-L ratio as well, with none other than Thunder chasing him in second place. He also did what no one else has ever done, which is win my annual Through the Wormhole Tournament in back-to-back years. Now, I have love for many Gladiators, but I've gotta represent Malice.

Vengeance was in Prison the first time for an Unspecifed crime. Later, he did orchestrate the murder of Massacre and the taking of the Throne of Aethra, but I don't think tom ever mentioned WHY Venegeance was in jail the first time!
