Swarm, I hate commenting on this fued (because it's between you guys) You know what, this is where you're wrong. Don't take this as a flame because it's not... but I've noticed this seems to be the mentality of most of the forum community. When you got a guy who'll flip out over spilled milk and spend a great deal of time and energy toward harrassing that person and threatening them, it reflects badly on the whole community. It's not just between me and him. It's everyone's business, frankly. This is what causes me to slowly lose faith in this community. If I knew this was going on, I'd want to defend the victim and make sure that the antagonizer was ousted...because it's the COTG community, which I loved, and I would want to weed crap like that out of it.

You know what? This argument isn't worth my time and neither is this community. Time to get back to the important things in life like... anything else really.

You can contact Chris or myself or any of the others through PM or email if something needs to be addressed. I check the board about 5 times a week and my email daily, so I am easy to get in touch with. Unfortunately, this board is so vast that it is impossible for us to monitor everything that is going on all the time. I couldn't answer why the thread was deleted. However, the track record around here for deleting posts has been quite liberal. Though I have been a bit quick to delete a thread at times when other admins may have left it. However, that is not the case here. So if the thread was deleted, there was a good reason for it. I'm sorry that you have had issues. The process is clearly defined on how to handle them which do not include dragging the issues into the public forum. With that, I'm locking this since there is nothing else to be said other than what should be handled through PM or email.

I couldn't answer why the thread was deleted. I can, but no one will like the answer. Short version: I screwed up. Long version: I had meant to lock the thread -- as it had long gotten out of hand and off the original topic -- but I mis-clicked. The "remove thread" icon is right next to the "lock thread" one and it neither asks for verification for some stupid reason; the key difference of course, is that an accidently locked thread can be easily unlocked -- an accidently removed thread is gone forever. Please consider this a formal apology to all those involved. Those complaining about this have every right to, as it looks like I was indeed protecting Swarm. The truth is that this is not the case, but appearances are what they are. I cannot accurately express how sorry I am about this; I didn't even realize I had done so until I received a PM wondering where the thread went. With that being said, I hope that everyone can forgive this human error and put this matter behind them.
