And this means that I'm going to be transferring my entire tape collection onto DVD. Since I will no longer have need of my tapes I've got a deal for you guys.
I've set up an e-mail account baughstapes@yahoo.com. So here's how it'll work. You send that address an e-mail and you'll be added to the newsletter. I'll send those out as tapes become available. You see a tape you want and it's yours for $5.
There's New Japan, NWA TNA early, All Japan, NOAH, 80s NWA, the first 14 Wrestlemanias, early Raws and anything else I happen to dig up.

Where did you get the recorder and how much and what kind? I am really wanting to get one for the exact same purpose. I have tons of tapes that need to be transferred to dvd.

I got a Panasonic DMR-ES20S which runs $190. Though Bestbuy had a $50 mail in rebate on it.

I'm pleased with the results so far. The quality has improved even slightly with every transfer. It really does a number on restoring the color and decreasing some of the tape noise and getting rid of some of the shake.
