1) Thank you for not shutting down the TNA forum. Discussion would leak into the WWE forum. While TNA is not my #1 choice, I like reading the discussions there. And when something big happens, like last weekend, its good to hear how people react. That section of the boards was dead for a while, good to see some action there.
2) I find it hilarious that you can ban a user from using smilies. ;D

How other people express their opinions...regardless of their tone...would never deter me from conversing on a topic of personal interest. While it may effect whom I chose to interact with it and which threads/posts I chose to read...it doesn't deter me from contributing and participating due to an 'XYZ' factor. While I respect your right to feel differenty...nothing you listed above bothers me even slightly....neither what was said or who was saying it.
Yet we all have our own personal pet peeves. I'd be more off put by posters who 'mesh' opinion preferences together with statements of fact and then can't tell which is which and can't comprehend that the two aren't one and the same. Or posters who rampantly drop context and contradict themselves from one post to the next...or people who use circular logic and can't 'think' outside the circle they construct...or who display no use of logic at all...or who talk about having 'unbiased opinions' or Karnac 'mind reading/psychologizing' posts or countless other things I could nitpick. Yet even then...it's best to just move on and live and let live. We don't need to wholesale delete forums, topics or individual posters just because they don't fit our personal ideals.
I respect that you have every right to chose for yourself AdamSmasher....yet you have no right to force your preferences on anyone else. It's really that simple.
LWPD (any message board will go through periods of ups and downs...yet the more diversity there is in terms of available topics of conversation...the greater the overall appeal to the 'board community' as a whole...cherry picking parts of it for deletion unequivocally moves in the wrong direction and does far more harm than good)

Just viewed this thread and feel the need to throw my 2 cents in. First, banning or deleting the TNA forum, what's up with that. The heated arguments could easily be avoided. Emotions run strong when it comes to our opinions but if you find yourself in a "flame war" with someone running down your views or ragging on your favorite fed or wrestler, be a bigger man and walk away. Ignore it. I've, and who hasn't, have seen these war of words in the TNA thread, but they wouldn't continue unless at least one of the members wanted to be a part of one, b/c it really is that simple. Walk away. Me, I'm not a fan of TNA, and there's no reason to discuss why in this post, but do the TNA guys ever see me post in their site. No. Do I read them? From time to time, I just never see a reason for me, who nevers watches TNA, to become a part of the discussions there. I know I wouldn't want my WWE board eliminated and I don't want their's (TNA) eliminated either. I guess what I'm trying to say is there is no reason to even consider the eradication of one of the beloved board forums (TNA or any of them) b/c a person can't walk away from an argument.

That's true...The flip side is, with things the way they are, if everyone walked away at the first sign of a negative post, there would be NO discussion in the TNA boards...

I have just returned to the boards, and alot has happened, well after reading most of the posts on the issue at hand I would like to express my opinion...
As for closing the TNA posts, I completely disagree with that just because of some heat between some people doesn't justify closing a board, hey I'm with most who think TNA is a waste of time but thats me and I rarely post in TNA anyway!!!
As for the Kurt Angle thing, are most people honestly thinking the signing of Kurt Angle is huge news and would really put TNA in par with WWE?, don't get me wrong Kurt was a great wrestler, not the greatest wrestler but at one point great, but the man is not well rather in the WWE or TNA he should be healing not competing, most TNA supporters cry about him being a grown man and came make his own decisions but when should it be time for a promotion to step in and say NO, the NFL did with Steve Young but is TNA desparate enough to risk a mans life in their rings just to get some media, maybe they hope he dies do they would get that much more media who knows, I agree with Swarm when he said its about a mans health first not a battle of TNA vs WWE!!!
And again really how big of a signing is Kurt Angle, well as big as Warren Sapp to the Raiders, you can put a valuable antique with junk but that doesn't make the junk valuable!!! When TNA can't make a superstar out of young talent that shows me that they can sign all the old WWE guys they want, WCW did and what happen to them, TNA has potential but signing Kurt Angle was not a huge answer to a larger problem, just a new body in the land of the dead, most if not all TNA guys are just waiting or that call from Vince so they can make real money and get more media on them, and the big difference between Samoa Joe and Umaga is WWE made a nothing into a monster, where Joe is just fighting jobbers week in and week out and Jarrett is no superstar!!!

Welcome back Bruiser... Here's the part of your post that sends all of the concerned's point home: I'm with most who think TNA is a waste of time but thats me and I rarely post in TNA anyway!!! There are lessons to be learned from that small portion of your post...

A better solution to the problem would be to call TNA and tell them of our plight. Maybe then TNA would start booking better and then we wouldn't have all the fights in the TNA thread because TNA once and for all would be good.
