It looks like Swarms is locked. I'm guessing it still counts as views, but you just can't post anylonger

I viewed, and apparently he just made some profanity filter violations...Personally, I don't see the big...I mean how hard can it be to clean that up...? EDIT: Actually, I viewed 3 times...I checked back a couple times to see if it had been unlocked...

No, I meant "how hard can it be for him to clean that up..?" As far as I can tell it's just his "BIG F*****G Show..He should be able to find them and clean those up right..?

Yes... if he could log in. But this isn't the first time he's bypassed the censor -- although it was the first time (to my recollection) he did so in large, (sometimes) glowing letters since the Code of Conduct was posted -- so he got that ability temporarily taken from him (again) in addition to the thread being locked. He should be back this weekend, assuming he stops harassing me about this via email.

He should be back this weekend, assuming he stops harassing me about this via email. As posted by Chris Ingersoll in "Code of COTG Discussion" thread: 3) Keep personal matters private; if you have a problem with another poster, take it up with either a moderator or, if it's not a serious issue, with them personally VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE. Dragging this garbage into the public view will just make the problem worse, especially since many times these cases are caused by simple misunderstandings or misinterpretations. This includes comments about mod behavior -- there are several of us; you should be able to find one to whom you can bring your case. This also includes allusion/accusations as to a poster's real-life identity, in the event that someone opts to use a "screen name". This is clearly in violation of the rule that you posted. I'm sure Swarm didn't want "garbage" such as his e-mailing you about a private matter, such as a banning, dragged into "public view."

I mentioned that he contacted me about it, not anything he specifically said; there is nothing wrong with mentioning that contact between members of this board sometimes happens outside of the functions provided by the board itself.
I did mention that I felt that his emails were harassing in nature, but unless I post quotes (which I will not), that's just my word versus his, but still an opinion to which I am entitled as the recipient of said messages.

You can phrase it however you like, but it is still bringing private matters into the public. The e-mails he sent were between Chris Ingersoll and Swarm, not Chris Ingersoll, Swarm and the rest of the members of this forum.

And nobody other than Chris Ingersoll and Swarm have read them. You're reaching, Chris. You would come off much better if you just said you made a mistake in putting a private matter, in this case Swarm's "harassing" e-mails, out in the street. I realize that it can be pretty embarrassing when you break a rule that you wrote yourself, but everyone makes mistakes, and mistakes are easily forgiven when owned up to. It is when someone talks in circles and makes excuses for their actions that a person opens himself up for legitimate criticism.

Giambi made an ambiguous public apology and then refused to say what he wa sapologizing for. A lot of baseball writers shave already stated they probably won't even consider him for the HOF. Just for the record.

Look since he was talking to me about it, I have to ask...Does anyone really care that Chris mentioned it..? Well, besides Joe...I didn't even notice really, and it didn't change any of my posts about Swarm in other threads.... Joe, no offense intended, honestly, but I told Jester this and I'm going to suggest the same to you: Swarm will be back, and from what I can tell 80% of this community will likely join in on the inevitable "Welcome Back Swarm" thread in the Announcements/General Discussion forums (whichever is more appropriate)...Starting a fight with Chris over it isn't going to help him...It's unlikely that it will hinder his return, but really, how's it going to help..? Like I said, it's just my thoughts on the matter...I now take my leave...
