OK, quick question. I'm trying to upload a photo onto my profile, but I can't seem to get it work. I've uploaded the pic to my old webpage..but still don't quite understand how to get it up. Can someone please help me.

I am having the same problem. If you right click on where my image should be and "view Image", you go to the page, but how do I have it show on the regular screen?

It seems that the addy ends in .htm, which is not a picture file. It's a web page file. It has to be a .jpg, .gif, etc. Try entering this. www.stathamfans.com/Pics/galleries/snatch/film/images/PDVD_046.jpgLet me know if you need any help. |

I kept copying and pasting to the bar on the profile page.
I had two or three of the addresses you sent me.
It is obviously working now. Thanks a bundle!
I shudder to think if I ever want to change my image again.....Ha!

I still wanna know how Paul's image gets past the 65x65 resizing. Wouldn't you like to know  Okay, Under where it says "I have my own pic" There is a "Custom Avatar Width" and "Custom Avatar Height" choice to pick. I think the max is 100 x 100. |

Could've sworn I tried that and it reset me to 65 x 65... have to give it another shot. EDIT: Huh. Now it works. Fancy that. |

For some reason, my image displays as an "x" (unavailable). Any clues as to why? It's posted on my website and I can use IE to see it.

My best guess is because it's huge, and probards may have some sort of limit on the amount of time it's willing to wait on an avatar download. Now that its in my cache I see it fine, but you might want to consider uploading a scaled-down version. |

The one I've got up there now is 4 KB and it's still not displaying properly for me. Any other thoughts? I tried to view the image and got a 404 (file not found). Assuming you didn't just forget to upload it (which is possible), be sure to check minor things like spelling and capitalization; some servers are case-sensitive. Also, be sure that the file type (.jpg or .gif) matches the actual file name (can't tell you how many times I've screwed that one up). Other than that I don't know what to tell you. :-\ |
