Interesting demo video. How does the game play stack up against Strike Or Submit Game?

Love the Canadian accent in the video, eh?

It does look like it captures the intricacies of an MMA contest. Might have to grab this one myself for "market research." ;)

I just ordered so havent got a chance to play. The creator told me that he held a tourney at a gaming convention. The kid who won had never played before. He just had a good gameplan (ex: his guy was a striker so he kept it on the feet).

I'll let you know how it plays once I get it. It looks like an entirely different creature than SOS and POW. This one seems to have more of a strategic, player to player vibe to it.

Yeah, that's the distinct impression I get, too. For those who are into D&D type setups, this would probably appeal to them, but it doesn't necessarily look quick and easy. Not that there's anything wrong with long and difficult. :)

I love Strike or Submit. I have a yahoo group for it and make my own bootlegs as well. It is the best MMA game I have ever played.

Strike or Submit is cool. I just wish that maybe once a year they'd issue some card updates as guys got older and new guys burst on the scene.

I've been creating guys (even updates) for some time now. Once you know how a guys works/fights, you can work on making new cards.

Example: Randy Couture comes in a Light Heavyweight form with the game. I am since made a Legends version and a Heavyweight version.

It is a ton of fun.

You got a yahoo group or something with your bootlegs? Sounds like a great way to give the game a test drive :)

My boots are not up on the group yet, but you would need all the rules and charts and stuff to be able to play.

Alex Williams (who invented S!O!S!) is a great guy, but I would not feel comfortable giving away the rules & charts, because they are not mine to give.

I will gladly share my bootlegs, but out of respect for Alex, I can not just give away copies of his game.

I think. $20 bucks tops. It's just a download off the internet so he has no "stock". You download the rules and cards and print yourself. There is 100+ guys included. It's an awesome game. I played the shit out of it and then stopped playing for awhile and never got back to it.

Yeah, I think it was $10... I hesitated a bit because it seemed like it hasn't been updated in some time... the roster is pretty Pride-heavy. too, which is not what I'd be looking for.

I'll probably still get it at some point though.

I have more than doubled my original roster through the boots (which feature a ton of current guys). It is an awesome game
